An established, privately owned business with over 40 years of history is seeking an experienced Head of HR to join their team. Specialising in new-build residential projects, the organisation is entering an exciting phase of growth following recent successes and new project wins. To support this expansion, they are looking for a versatile and proactive HR professional to lead people-focused initiatives and help position the business for sustained success.

The Role

As a key leader within the business, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of residential projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be expected to bring a strong commercial understanding, working closely with senior management to drive project success and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals and values.

  • Review and enhance company policies, procedures, and HR frameworks.

  • Drive employee engagement and foster a culture of positivity and productivity.

  • Evaluate and improve compensation, benefits, and reward systems to maintain competitive positioning.

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws while promoting fairness, inclusivity, and accountability across the business.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Prior experience in an HR role, ideally within construction, property development, manufacturing, engineering, or a similar sector.

  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and UK employment law.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership.

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
