A leading housebuilder is looking for a Contracts Manager to join its construction team. Known for its dedication to outstanding design, build quality, and service, this company is committed to creating sustainable, inclusive communities across the North West. 

In this role, you’ll oversee the delivery of construction projects, ensuring they meet financial targets, stay within budget, and achieve the highest standards of quality and safety. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to drive efficiency, manage resources, and deliver exceptional results.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure service delivery meets financial targets and operates within budget, driving profitability and efficiency.

  • Develop and implement Service Plans and Key Work Objectives to meet the needs of stakeholders, clients, and customers.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to identify and secure profitable opportunities.

  • Lead contract reviews with senior leadership, presenting performance reports to board-level audiences.

  • Oversee contractor agreements, ensuring compliance with PFI contractual requirements, KPIs, and client deliverables.

  • Monitor site performance, address delays, and ensure plots are built to the highest standards, complying with NHBC Standards and Building Regulations.

  • Provide professional support and coaching to site management teams, helping them develop their skills and achieve their goals.

  • Ensure health and safety standards are met at all times, promoting a culture of safety and professionalism across sites.

What We’re Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management (or equivalent) and a CSCS Black Card.

  • SMSTS certification, First Aid at Work, and a full UK driving licence.

  • Proven experience managing residential developments, PFI contracts, and contractor frameworks.

  • Strong financial skills, with experience managing Profit & Loss accounts in a PFI environment.

  • Excellent leadership abilities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.

  • A forward-thinking approach, aligned with a business focused on innovation and sustainability.
