A private equity-backed residential developer is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager / Project Manager to join a high-growth business as it establishes a new regional office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering low-rise and traditional housing developments, integrating Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
The Role
As a key leader within the business, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of residential projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be expected to bring a strong commercial understanding, working closely with senior management to drive project success and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate the construction of low-rise and traditional housing developments.
Take ownership of project budgets, forecasting, and commercial performance.
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and quality standards across all projects.
Lead project planning, procurement, and contract management, ensuring cost-effective delivery.
Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
Provide strategic input to enhance MMC integration within the construction process.
Monitor project progress, address challenges proactively, and implement solutions to ensure smooth delivery.
About You:
Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
MCIOB accreditation is highly desirable.
Experience working with leading residential developers or contractors.
Proven track record in contracts and project management within the housebuilding sector.
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
